Geo-referencing of Village Map Project-GVMP

In Maharashtra -   43,864 villages & 2613 un-inhabited village.

Land record maps are on the scale of 1:5000 scale and are not geo-referenced so cannot utilized with other referenced resources data.

Hence this huge task has been undertaken by MRSAC and completed and is in use for micro level planning and implementation of schemes on the ground. This has facilitated to create a seamless database for the state at village level. IRS PAN Data of 5.8 resolution used for referencing.
