Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT), is a local civic government body
with the task of developing new areas within city limits
of Nagpur, maintaining existing city infrastructure and works along
with Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). With recent development in
Urban sector in Remote Sensing and GIS fields, NIT has proposed to
Implement complete GIS solution for comprehensive planning, decision

the areas under its jurisdiction. The study is aimed at generating a geo-
spatial data of detailed urban land use land cover data showing all the
details of existing structures on the sites and other site features duly
superimposed on city cadastral data of Nagpur.

Remote Sensing Applications Centre (MRSAC) Nagpur, an autonomous
body under Planning Department, Government of Maharashtra, to generate
the Remote Sensing and GIS database for the agency.
