Objective
Ortho-rectification(correction)of High-Resolution Satellite (Stereo/Tri-stereo) data
pertaining to entire Maharashtra State using DGPS Points in Leica Photogrammetric
Suite (LPS). The entire area of state of Maharashtra has been divided into approx. 93
Photogrammetric Blocks for smooth handlings of ortho-rectification work in LPS. Each
overlapping photogrammetric block has been triangulated separately using well
distributed DGPS control points as well as manual and automated tie points. After
Arial Triangulation, DEM editing has been done scene wise within the photogrammetric
Block. After DEM editing, scene wise as well as block wise Ortho-rectification of high-
resolution Satellite Data has been created using Stereo/Tri-Stereo Satellite Data. After
Ortho rectification, a mosaic of image data has been prepared seamlessly with
appropriate color balancing, histogram matching and illumination equalizing in Taluka
wise, District wise as well as State wise Mosaic (0.5m resolution). Tiling of 4km X 4km
Sheets are required with Standard Nomenclature provided by MRSAC. Creation of 2-
meter contours of the state as well as slope map of entire state on 1:4000 scale of
mapping.
