➢ Creation, of digital database pertaining to the
Laterite and Bauxite deposits of Maharashtra in
association with the Georeferenced Cadastral
maps and High Resolution Satellite imageries in
RS & GIS domain.
➢ Characterization of the Laterite & Bauxite based
on standard parameters of JNARDDC & its
integration with the RS/GIS data for Utilization
by Aluminum Industries.
➢ Establishment of the prediction models for
probable deposits based on interpretation of the
high-resolution satellite imageries in association
with thematic data support (Geomorphology,
Lithology, Drainage network, Slope and contour
based height, etc.).
➢ Capacity building of the JNARDDC in the area
of Geo-informatics technology.
