DESCRIPTION / METHODOLOGY
GCPs were established by way of transfer either from nearby
Survey of India (SOI) GCP as well as DGPS Survey. The total number of
GCPs taking the overlapping scenes into consideration grid wise like 70X70
count ICONIC Points 51, 16km X 16km count Primary 1239 and 4km X4km
Secondary Control Points 19816. Observation in static mode at 4 (Four)
hours for primary control points and 2.15 hours (Two hours and Fifteen
Minutes) for Secondary Ground Control Points which is made with reference
to SOI primary control points and duration of observation can be changed by
MRSAC depending upon the imagery and aerial distance of the SOI primary
control points. Need 3 (Three) Zonal Ground control points to be
established in MRSAC offices located in Pune, Mumbai and Nagpur for
precise control and standard acceptable RMSE error, other GCPs are
established by way of baseline extension through triangulation loop
networking method ensuring that survey in any segment of area begins and
ends with any of the aforesaid GCPs and duration of observation being 2.15
(Two hours and Fifteen Minutes) to 4 (Four) hours for GCPs.
