SUFALAM (Space Technology Utilization for Food Security Agricultural Assessment and Monitoring) Programme. “Area and Yield Estimation of Some Kharif & Rabi Crops for Maharashtra State”

Programme is envisaged to develop methodology for pre-harvest area estimates of new crops using multi-source remotely sensed and collateral data. Maharashtra grows variety of crops in kharif as well as in rabi and summer season and contribute major area of state acreage figure. Five crops vis. Maize, Soybean, Bajra and Groundnut in kharif season and Groundnut in rabi season have to analyse.
