Under this project CIDCO intends to generate the geo-spatial data which
would be helpful for the stakeholders’ planners and designers in decision making.
Realizing this, CIDCO has approached and requested Maharashtra Remote
Sensing Applications Centre (MRSAC) Nagpur, an autonomous body under
Planning Department, Government of Maharashtra, to generate the Remote
Sensing and GIS database for the agency and integrate them with the ERP/SAP
system under web environment.

OBJECTIVE

The aim and objective of the project are as follows:
1. Preparation of Detailed Project Plan
2. Preparation of System Requirement Specification (SRS) document
3. Standardization of the data structure
4. Creation of Unified database for CIDCO
5. Web-GIS application development, as per requirement of CIDCO
6. Integration of Web-GIS Application with other applications of CIDCO
including SAP, COPAS (CIDCO Online Plan Approval System), CCTV etc.
7. Seamless operation of Enterprise GIS application
8. Training to CIDCO staff
9. Technical support in operation and maintenance after Go-Live
10. Handover of project related documents including Database, Source code,
Operation manuals etc.

SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of this project covers the area of Navi Mumbai (approx.' 344 sq. km).
Out of 344 sq. km. of Navi Mumbai Notified Area' about 114 sq. km area comprises
of other Planning Authorities such as NMMC' Panvel Municipal Council, Uran
Municipal Council, MIDC and JNPT' Remaining about 230 sq. km area is being
administered by ClDCO. Further bifurcation of the230.sq km is as below:
